A suspected money launderer has appeared in court after he was arrested trying to leave the Island with £14,000 in cash.
The man was stopped at the Sea Terminal last week.
Police say the seizure of money sends out a message to people engaged in this type of illegal activity.
Detective Sergeant Gavin Callow says they have a multi-layered approach to detecting crime and assets obtained from crime.
He say the chances of being caught are high.
The man who was arrested has been granted bail and will appear in court on Friday.
