2,500 public sector manual workers have now accepted a pay deal.
Last week Whitley Council members voted against accepting a pay freeze.
The agreement that's been reached covers the last financial year and the current one.
There'll be no wage increase for 2010/11, but workers will each recieve a £225 one-off payment.
Staff who were continually in post last year will get their lump sum included in their December wage packet.
All others will get theirs no later than January.
For the current financial year workers will get an hourly rate increase of 18p, which will be back-dated from 1st April.
