The public wants to see a park and ride scheme brought in on the Island.
A public consultation into parking on the Island shows the majority would be in favour of such a scheme if it were reliable and cost effective.
The study also shows that Douglas is most in need of extra parking, followed by Peel and Castletown.
The Department of Infrastructure says it will look into a park and ride scheme with the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.
The DoI is also to search for alternatives to on street parking, particularly for large commercial vehicles.
The full findings of the consultation can be found on the Government's website
