Tesco goes against Callow's Yard concept, says MHK

The MHK for Castletown is unhappy at the change in direction for Callow's Yard.

Richard Ronan, who was elected to the House of Keys in September, was a Commissioner for the town when the plans for the development were submitted.

He's concerned that the arrival of a Tesco Express store will cause problems for the town's businesses.

Mr Ronan says the concept behind Callow's Yard was that small local businesses would be brought in, and that there would be no duplication in trades already in the town [play clip]
