The Department of Infrastructure is reconsidering a request for a list of all property owned by the Government.
Roger Tomlinson, the Chairman of the Positive Action Group, made a complaint after he was told he wasn't allowed the information.
High Bailiff John Needham, acting as the Commissioner of the Code of Practice on Access to Government information, wants the DoI to look again at why the request for the list was turned down.
Mr Needham's report says the Department hasn't fully considered to what extent the information is already in the public domain, or to what extent the list would cause harm or prejudice.
Mr Tomlinson's request will now be reassessed.
