The call to the emergency services came just after 7.00, when a passenger on the boat noticed smoke coming from a window.
Officers found the fire in a room on the first floor of the property.
The blaze was extinguished within 20 minutes, but crews remained at the scene until 9.00 damping down and cutting away to make sure the fire was fully out.
Fire damaged was only in one room, but smoke damage occurred on the first floor and upper floors, with water damage on all floors.
Investigations are underway into the cause of the fire.
