Tynwald has voted unanimously in favour of repealing a tax measure deemed harmful by the EU.
The Attribution Regime or ARI will be abolished from next April.
The decision was taken when the EU code of conduct committee ruled that the ARI is harmful when coupled with the zero/ten regime.
Member for Michael Alf Cannan spoke on the subject in Tynwald today.
He says there are some genuine concerns that it's removal could have a negative impact on society.
However, he believes it would be worse if it's not removed.[play media file below]
