A local radio presenter has pleaded guilty to drink driving.
70 year old Bernie Quayle appeared in court this morning, having only been arrested last night.
He was stopped by police at Derby Road in Douglas at around 8pm, after he was spotted driving through a red light.
A breath test gave a reading of 119. The limit is 80.
The court was told Mr Quayle had drunk brandy and had ventured out in his car to go to the shops.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes gave Mr Quayle credit for his early guilty plea.
He now has to pay an £800 fine, court costs and is banned from getting behind the wheel for 15 months.
