The new owner of land that had been used for a pet cemetery say they have no choice but to make the field out of bounds.
It's thought there are hundreds of animals buried at Beaufield Park in Greeba but a sign has now appeared on the gate saying it's closed.
A spokesman told Energy FM News the holes that have been dug in the field have made it unsafe and they can't get insurance to allow public access.
It's also implied that in the past people may have been led to believe that they were actually buying the burial plots.
However, it's pointed out that they only paid to be able to dig a hole to bury their pet.
The new owner reports being threatened and abused by some people who're upset at the situation.
They say grievances should now be taken up with the previous land owner.
Some people have paid for headstones and concrete surrounds and they're told they can arrange to remove these, along with the remains of their pet, if they wish.
