An Isle of Man cyclist begins a week long challenge tomorrow which will see him cycle a thousand miles whilst raising money for charity.
Paul Unett from Peel is preparing to try to break the world record for the fastest journey around the world by bicycle, starting in February next year.
Over the next week, he'll cycle around 140 miles per day on a static bike based in the Strand Shopping Centre.
As well as raising funds for charity, he'll be highlighting the demands of such a challenge on the body.
He explains that it can take a while for the body to adjust [play clip]
