Cav is first British world champion since the 1960s

Isle of Man cyclist Mark Cavendish has become Britain's first road racing World Champion in cycling since the 1960's.

The Manxman took the title in Copenhagen with a trademark sprint finish.

British Cycling Performance Director Dave Brailsford tells Sky Sports News it's an achievement that shouldn't be under played [play clip]
