Mark Cavendish is World Champion

Isle of Man cyclist Mark Cavendish is the new men's road race world champion.

He took victory in a sprint finish at the Road Cycling World Championships in Denmark.

The Manxman started the race as one of the favourites.

He was one of 8 British cyclists taking part in the event
