An election candidate says he is saddened that someone has slashed one of his election banners.
A knife or similar item has been used to cut a two metre by one metre banner for Paul Craine, which was displayed in Union Mills.
Mr Craine has described the act as anti-democratic.
The damage was caused between yesterday afternoon and this morning.
He says some of his and other candidates posters have been removed over a period.
Police have previously stated that they will prosecute anyone found the be stealing or damaging election posters or banners.
The Marown Commissioner is one of four candidates standing for Middle. The others are Social Care Minister Martyn Quayle, Former Manx National Farmers' Union President Howard Quayle and Liberal Vannin candidate Juan Cottier.
