The owner of the Island's only casino is unhappy about government plans to grant a second casino licence.
The Department of Economic Development announced yesterday that it's seeking expressions of interest from companies interested in creating a five star hotel and gambling complex.
The government believes it would increase visitor numbers to the Island.
However, the Sefton Group which operates the casino at the Palace Hotel doesn't think the market is big enough to support two casinos.
Chief Executive Brett Martin thinks it's being pushed forward without a proper assessment and understanding of the market.[play media file]
