Government 'disappointed' over cancelled rally

The Department of Economic Development says it's disappointed the 2011 Rally Isle of Man has been cancelled.

Many blame the cancellation on the government's desire to have it moved from its usual summer slot.

Head of Motorsport Trevor Hussey explains the government's point of view.[Play media file below]

The Department of Economic Development says it still want to support a successful stage rallying event on the Island and will continue talks with event organisers.
