Ballacottier School is open as normal this morning after a burst water main affecting the school's supply was repaired.
The damaged pipe left many residents in Farmhill, Anagh Coar, Crosby and Glen Vine and the surrounding areas without water for much of yesterday.
Pupils at Ballacottier were sent home early on health and safety grounds, mainly due to the lack of flushing toilets.
Engineers worked throughout the day to fix the fault, with supplies returning to normal yesterday evening.
The problems came as a result of a burst main at the Snugborough Trading Estate which supplies the Braaid service reservoir.
