Ballacottier School closed because of burst main

Ballacottier School has been forced to close early today after a burst water main left the school without supplies.

Public Health officials were consulted and it was decided that because of a lack of flushing toilets, it would be best to send children home on health and safety grounds.

Parents who are able, are asked to go and pick up their youngsters.

Mums and Dads should go to the main office and not to the classrooms.

The school should reopen as normal tomorrow.
