A shark which is rare in these waters has been spotted off the Manx coast.
A warden at the Calf of Man saw the three metre long thresher shark leaping out of the water.
The animal is easily recognised by its long tail fin.
They pray on shoals of fish like mackerel and herring.
Thresher sharks aren't normally seen around here and tend to live much further offshore.
There have only been a few recorded sightings from the Island - but Eleanor Stone from the Manx Wildlife Trust thinks there may be more that haven't been reported.[play media file below]
