The minimum wage for adults on the Island is set to increase.
For workers over the age of 18, it's proposed it will go up from £6.10 per hour to £6.20.
If the move is approved in Tynwald in October, the new rate would come into affect on 1st November.
It was recommended by the minimum wage committee and has been given the OK by the Treasury and the Department of Economic Development.
Minister Allan Bell says even in difficult economic times, the government will try to promote the welfare of people on low incomes.
