Man cleared of causing death by dangerous driving

An Australian driver accused of causing the death of a local motorcyclist by dangerous driving has been found not guilty.

Craig Waghorn was carrying out a three-point turn at the Fairy Bridge when his car was in collision with a bike being ridden by Ballasalla man Robert Kneale.

It happened during this year's TT festival.

The defence said Mr Waghorn had carried out all the necessary checks before he manoeuvred his vehicle and at the time the road was clear.

Jurors cleared the 42 year old of the charge.
