Biker hospitalised after crash with HGV

A motorcyclist has been hospitalised after a crash with a lorry.

The BMW bike and Colas HGV were involved in a collision on the main Douglas to Ballasalla Road near Santon Railway Station yesterday afternoon.

The biker was taken to Noble's, where he has been detained.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

Police closed the road for around three hours whilst carrying out investigations.

Officers are keen to speak to the driver of a yellow MG ZR that was travelling towards Ballasalla at the time of the crash.
