This week saw Isle of Man Archery Club host the Isle of Man Senior Target Championships this was shot in fair but gusting winds which proved difficult for some at the longer distances.
In the gents recurve, the lead changed hands at each of the four distances only or Michael Tancurin to edge out and win by nine points over Tony Hartley who celebrates his 50th with Dave Berry picking up the last spot on the podium after a bad performance at the 50 metre distance.
Ladies recurve saw Anne Rutland put in a fantastic shot with another personal best to notch up her forth bowman score this season only 29 points short of master bowman and Barbara Harris picks up the runners up spot shooting only 1 point short o her best.
In the gents compound Peter Mumford showed his dominances to take the title over the new young gun Colin Moore who puts in another great personal best.
Ladies Compound title went to junior Kirsten George with Joy Gough picking up the runners up spot, In the Novice cup the challenge was between Billy Lightfoot and Frank Vaughan despite Vaughan putting in a great personal best Lightfoot went one better to put in a fantastic show and take the title.

Congratulations to the new Champions Michael Tancurin, Anne Rutland, Peter Mumford, Kirsten George and Billy Lightfoot and good luck to Aalin George who is of to Legnica in Poland to compete in the World Archery Youth Championships in the cadet compound discipline this competition starts on Tuesday 23rd. Next weeks round will be a Fita 70 field setup as normal at 9:30 for a 10:30 start.
