"Spineless" OFT highlights need for Freedom of Information Act, says Liberal Vannin

The Liberal Vannin Party says the Office of Fair Trading is spineless, after deciding not to publish a report into pricing at the Steam Packet Company.

The Party believes the Manx public has a right to be aware of the findings, as public money funded the investigations.

It says this highlights the need for a Freedom of Information Act on the Island.

The OFT ended its investigation, saying that changes at the Steam Packet mean its conclusions would have been irrelevant.
