Fire crews called to smoke logged flat

Fire crews were called out in the early hours following reports of a kitchen fire in Douglas.

At 00.40am, officers headed to the heavily smoke logged flat in Hampton Grove.

The cause was found to be an unattended pan on the stove.

The property suffered slight smoke damage as a result.

Crews spent around 30 minutes at the scene ventilating the flat.
