The Steam Packet Company has welcomed a decision by the Isle of Man Office of Fair trading not to publish a report into its prices.
The ferry operator says investigations into its affairs over recent years have taken up a considerable amount of the Company's resources, preventing it from focusing on its services.
Yesterday, the OFT announced that it wouldn't publish a report as a number of recent changes at the Steam Packet made its findings irrelevant.
Those changes include selling off the Snaefell vessel and a change of ownership.
Chief Officer at the OFT Paul Gelling says there's no point finishing the investigation now [play clip]
