The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading has no plans to launch a new investigation into Steam Packet Company prices.
The board announced earlier that it won't be finishing its investigation into the ferry operator due to several changes in circumstances for the firm.
The OFT says the introduction of a rival freight service, new owners and the disposal of the Snaefell vessel make its findings to date irrelevant.
