Road workers are being subjected to abuse and threats by members of the public.
The Department of Infrastructure says thereve been incidents in several places including Castletown and Douglas.
People are also breaking speed restrictions and there are several prosecutions pending for this.
The DoI says although the work can be disruptive its for the benefit of everyone.
Political Member Graham Cregeen spoke to us from the roadworks in Castletown.
