Bay Festival refund update soon, says HMV

The ticket agent for the Isle of Man Bay Festival says it hopes to be able to give an update on refunds soon.

HMV handled ticket sales for the failed event.

Under its terms and conditions, it says it will give a refund in the event of cancellation.

Initially HMV asked its customers to wait until after July 29th, when the Bay Festival organisers said it would return money to ticketholders by.

HMV was unable to offer an immediate refund, as the funds had already been passed on to the organisers, who still have the money.

A spokesman for the music retailer says it's still working with the promoter on the matter, and is also in contact with trading standards.

Bay Festival says it was unable to honour the original date as it is still disposing of assets.
