Nine childcare organisations are looking at the way the work to see if any improvements can be made.
The groups, which all work with nursery, reception or year one pupils, have been working towards the Manx Step into Quality Award.
The award looks at day to day practices for early years care for children on the Island.
The award examines environment, personnel and management amongst other aspects.
It's seen as a stepping stone to the Manx Quality Award which was set up in 2010 for childminders and playgroups to develop their practice to the highest level.
The organisations receiving the award are Ashely Hill Primary School year 1 team, Auldyn Infants School Reception team, Ballaquayle Infants Reception team, Braddan Primary School Reception team, Marown Primary School Reception team, Onchan Primary School Reception team and Victoria House Nursery.
