Works on a number of roads in Castletown are due to get underway from next month.
The Department of Infrastructure will undertake an eight week road maintenance program around Victoria Road and Douglas Road from August first.
DoI workers will be working extended hours to keep the length of the roadworks down.
The Department estimates that the work would take up to 15 weeks under normal working hours.
They'll be working between 7.00am and 9.30 at night.
The work on Victoria Road will include drainage improvements and works to accomodate street lighting cables.
All parking will be suspended on Victoria Road, and there will be short term closures on Shore road and Bowling Green Road towards the end of August.
Reconstruction on Douglas Road is expected to get underway in early September, when 24 hour temporary traffic lights will be put in place.
