The Manx Electricity Authority is urging owners of Beko fridge freezers to check their model number after a warning from the manufacturer.
Some of the frost free models made between January 2000 and October 2006 have been found to fail and overheat.
The MEA says it wasn't selling the affected models at this time, but is recommending those who bought Beko fridges elsewhere to check.
You can check if your fridge is one of the affected items by visiting Beko's website.
