A group of people who want to see Sarah's Law introduced on the Island will stage a demonstration outside Tynwald next week.
Sarah's Law would allow parents and carers to be able to check if a sex offender lives nearby or could have contact with their child.
The Department of Home Affairs says it's not considering it at the moment but will review the matter in 2013.
Campaigners who think the law needs changing now have started a petition which has gathered over 2,000 signatures.
They hope to present it to Minister Adrian Earnshaw ahead of the final sitting of Tynwald on Tuesday.
