The number of people travelling by sea fell slightly in May.
Figures out today for May show around 1,000 fewer people used the Steam Packet to travel to and from the Island.
Over the year, the number of sea passengers has fallen by around 8,500.
This is blamed on last year's figures being inflated when air travel was hit by the volcanic ash cloud.
Despite this, the Department of Infrastructure claims there's an upward growth in sea travel and expects to see it continue as June will reflect the success of the TT.
