Bus drivers will be balloted over plans to strike today.
Unite members are currently planning industrial action on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
However, fresh talks between the union and the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure have led to members being balloted again this morning.
Drivers had been unhappy with the Department's proposals on changes to sick pay, resulting in a new offer from the bus chiefs.
The outcome will be published later.
Should the strike go ahead, the DCCL will announce its contingency plans on Monday.
A high percentage of Bus Vannin drivers are members of the Unite union.
The Department of Education and Children has already said that schools will open on Wednesday regardless of any industrial action.
