The Social Care Minister is to ask for nearly £3million for the next phase of work at Clagh Vane.

Martyn Quayle is to seek Tynwald approval for the funds to be spent on building 12 two-bedroom flats and 4 two-bedroom bungalows.

The plans would also see empty properties demolished and a new access lane and car park created.

Should Tynwald approve the plans, work is expected to get underway as soon as possible.

It's hoped the new homes will be a similar style to the newly built properties already at Clagh Vane in Ballasalla.

There are plans for further works at the estate in the future, with around 44 houses and bungalows to be built.
