Bus drivers prepare to strike next week

Many of the Island's bus drivers are planning to strike next week.

Bus Vannin drivers represented by Unite are due to walk out on Tynwald Day and Wednesday next week.

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is looking to change terms and conditions for bus drivers, and has so far been unable to agree terms with its workers.

Negotiations are continuing today, and the Department will release an update on the situation tomorrow.

The Department of Education and Chidren says schools will open as normal on Wednesday
