It will be up to the Island's next administration to bring forward new Freedom of Information Laws.
Chief Minister Tony Brown has been justifying waiting until the last House of Keys sitting today to bring the bill for its first reading.
Michael MHK David Cannan wanted to know why there hasn't been an opportunity for it to be debated.
Mr Brown says it's been brought forward now because the original bill was changed to reflect views gained from a public consultation.[play media file below]
