Ramsey lifeboat was called out after a crew member on a visiting yacht was struck down with severe sea sickness.
The sailor had contacted Liverpool coastguard for medical advice, having suffered with sickness for several hours.
The lifeboat was sent out at around 6.45 yesterday evening, and brought the crew member to Ramsey Harbour, where an ambulance was waiting.
Once back on dry land, the casualty recovered and no further medical treatment was needed.
The lifeboat crew were stood down by 8.00pm
