Questions will be raised over the state of the athletics track at the National Sports Centre in the House of Keys next week.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran wants Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney to make a statement on remedial works being carried out to repair defects following a refurbishment of the track last year.
Mr Karran particularly wants to know about large puddles forming on the track after periods of rain.
Mr Cretney will also be asked to explain who is paying for the work, why there are defects and why it has taken so long to be rectified.
He'll also comment on whether the track will be fit for purpose by the Commonwealth Youth Games, which are being held on the Island in September.
The House of Keys sits on Tuesday.
