'Sarah's Law' won't be brought in here at the moment as the government believes the Island has an efficient and effective child protection system.
Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw told Tynwald there is a multi-agency approach to monitoring sex offenders on the Isle of Man.
His statement followed a question from North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson, who wants to see Sarah's Law introduced so parents can find out if an offender is living nearby.
Mr Earnshaw says his department has already promised to review Sarah's Law in October 2013.
He also offers reassurance to mums and dads over the measures already in place.[Play media file below]
