The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure says it will continue to try to find new jobs for five railway workers who had their jobs cut.
It was confirmed yesterday that an appeal against their redundancy by the group had failed.
The workers are currently serving a notice period to the end of July.
The men's jobs include joiner, painter and blacksmith.
Chief Minister Tony Brown says the decision to cut these posts has nothing to do with them being manual jobs [play clip]
