Department holds meetings following petition

Meetings have been held after a 600 signature petition over the running of the Western Civic Amenity Site was handed to the Department of Infrastructure.

The Department says the meetings were constructive and highlighted a number of issues.

Some of the matters have since been dealt with, whilst other still need to be resolved.

The DoI says the running of the site is the responsibility of local authorities and the site itself, and that they will continue working to resolve the concerns of those who use the facility.
