Police to close fatal crash road

A section of the new Castletown Road is to close later to allow for police investigations into a fatal crash.

Officers will close the road between Ballavale Road and the Blackboards between 10.00am and 2.00pm, to continue investigations into the death of biker Robert Kneale.

The 65 year old died in a head-on collision with a car near Fairy Bridge.

Following the crash last Monday, an Australian man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

HGVs will be diverted along the Ballasalla to St Mark's Road during the closure.
