Biker dies following crash with truck

Police are appealing for witnesses after a biker died in a crash in Douglas.

A Suzuki motorcycle collided with a Dennis Eagle truck on Bemahague Road near the junction with Governor's Hill at around 3.45 yesterday afternoon.

The bike was carrying two people. One sustained fatal injuries whilst the other remains in Noble's.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries.

Officers kept the road closed for around 5 hours whilst they carried out investigations.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police.

The Coroner of Inquests has been informed of the death.
