Mad Sunday saw fewer than expected crashes but more arrests according to police figures.
There were just six collisions over the 24 hours from 8.00 yesterday morning.
Police believe this is mainly down to early crashes and an oil spill on the Mountain Road keeping the A18 closed for much of the day.
However, there were 15 arrests, mainly for violence and drunkeness.
Several of those taken in to custody are due to appear in court today.
