Marshals tried to clean the road after an oil spill

It was a frustrating night for the solo bikes in yesterday's practice session.

An oil leak between Kirk Michael and Alpine meant the sidecar practice was stopped early, and the whole session ultimately abandoned.

The chairs had taken to the course first to allow the solos to practice controlled pit speeds.

Klaus Klaffenbock and Dan Sayle were again fastest in the sidecars, closely followed by John Holden and Andy Winkle.

The final practice takes place tonight.
