McGuinness quickest in first practice

John McGuinness was the fastest man around the TT course after the first practice session.

The lap record holder completed a lap averaging 122.838mph on the HM Plant Superbike.

Bruce Anstey topped the Superstock timesheets, whilst Luis Carreira was quickest on the Supersport.

Klaus Klaffenbock and Dan Sayle was the fastest pairing in sidecars.

Heavy rain meant the session was red flagged early.

The second night of practice gets underway this evening, with the Mountain Road closing at 5.00, followed by the remainder of the course on hour later, re-opening by 9.30
