Supposed new airline "vanishes"

A company which claimed it would be launching new air services to and from the Island appears to have vanished.

Ellan Vannin Airways websites and those of its sister company, Indulgence, are no longer online.

Suspicions were raised over whether the company and its plans were genuine when the sites first appeared.

The company said it was starting air links but didn't give destinations or exact dates.

The Three Legs of Man logo on the aircraft livery was back to front and the company gave its address as Euromanx House, but nobody there had heard of it.

Airport Director Ann Reynolds also said she hadn't been approached by anyone from the airline about setting up routes.
