The government says there's change ahead for the Island's planning system.
A new Director of Planning and Building Control has been employed to take new ideas forward.
They include reforming the way the independent planning committee works and starting work on long-term land proposals for Douglas.
More work will be done to designate further conservation areas and registered buildings.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says they'll also be looking to cut back on the current red tape that can make it hard for people to make small changes to their homes.[Play media file below]
