The lifeboat was called out twice yesterday afternoon to deal with emergencies in Ramsey Bay.
At 13.10 rescuers were scrambled when a crew member onboard a tug boat injured their eye and needed hospital treatment.
Not long after it returned to shore, the lifeboat was out again.
A crewman from a ship had fallen down some stairs and needed urgent medical help.
The injured man and his rescuers were craned on to the waiting lifeboat.
He was then transferred to Noble's Hospital.
The two boats involved in the incidents had been together and were both anchored in the bay.
